You hurt me

I lied when I said it didn’t hurt. The truth is, it hurt more than I could ever express. The pain came from those I trusted the most, the ones I held closest to my heart. I never imagined they would find satisfaction in my suffering. But if that was their intention, they have succeeded beyond measure. The wounds they inflicted have left me so deeply scarred that I now feel nothing but a hollow numbness.
