BSC Young Boys and the beekeepers' association, BienenSchweiz, are breaking new ground in fundraising. Together, they are launching a collection of 3,000 Non-Fungible-Tokens, so-called NFTs, which will be sold via the BSC YB online fan shop starting on December 16, 2022. 100% of the profit from selling these digital collectible tokens will go to the project "Sustainable flowering areas for our bees" by BienenSchweiz. This project aims to improve the food supply for honey bees and wild bees by creating meaningful flowering areas for all pollinators in the long term.
The joint collection is 3,000 unique comic-style bees with different YB accessories and traits minted on the sustainable Flow blockchain. Depending on the rarity of their traits, these YBees cost between 20 and 300 swiss francs and will be offered for sale in several installments. For the launch, the first 300 YBees will be available at shop.bscyb.ch from 12:00 on December 16.
As a thank you, YBee buyers will receive different gifts depending on the rarity level of the YBees purchased. These range from a certificate to YB bee wax cloths and YB honey to an exclusive bee event at the Wankdorf stadium.
In addition, the YBees are integrated into the Collector Boards of BSC YB. They can be used together with the digital autograph cards of the YB players to unlock attractive rewards.
