This self-portrait reflects my childhood as a nomadic kid, moving from one rented house to another as my dad switched jobs across cities. I went to four different schools, always the new kid, never staying long enough to form lasting friendships or call any place home.
Through it all, I collected windows - portals to worlds I didn’t belong to, where I dreamed of a rooted life, a place to plant sunflowers and watch them grow. Looking back, the constant moving taught me adaptability and self-reliance, shaping my art with themes of longing and identity.
It’s not just about the physical moves; it’s about navigating inner change and creating a sense of home within myself.
