“Imaginació” is the second work in the “Wanderlust” series. The series explores the conception of life as a journey. The desire to travel and the curiosity to discover remote places and to experience new sensations are inherent to human beings. That is why we are often overcome by a sense of restlessness that pushes us to go out and see the world. But, perhaps we are not aware that we already make this journey throughout our lives. From the time we are small we are on a continuous vital journey, through experiences that mark us, we learn and build ourselves as people. Each work in the series represents a specific life stage and evokes its characteristics. “Imaginació” represents the second stage, childhood: an innovative way of thinking and seeing the world typical of children. Creativity, which allows us to express ourselves, to dream and to transform reality, is personified through paper elements. The paper plane and the paper boat take on a double symbolism, representing those dreamers who have a dream towards the clouds and at the same time the journey they have just embarked on.
