Introducing
The hours arrive, the man finds his rest, his eyes overflow, hope fills his chest.
The hours arrive,
the man finds his rest,
his eyes overflow,
hope fills his chest.
Change awaits him,
in tomorrow’s light,
as the present night fades,
birds take their flight,
singing softly into the quiet sky.
The night’s dew falls,
the man sheds his guise,
the guise of being strong,
of dreams that rise—
to lead the world toward peace,
a peace he longs to realize.
But peace, it never came,
not for him, not in his name.
It touched others, it reached many,
yet left his heart hollow,
his dreams, uncanny.
Nightfall enfolds him,
he drifts into thought,
wishing to escape
the reflection he’s caught.
And as silence births a new day’s flame,
October moves on, steady and untamed.
The man did not foresee
that once again,
nightfall would claim his plea.
