The Insistence of Time

This artwork is the final submission from the artist CageyBaby for the 'Humanity' event by the Faerian gallery. The artist created this piece in 3 days, inspired by a prompt that was submitted by the public. In a unique twist, instead of being interpreted by an AI, this time the prompt was brought to life by a human artist. The entire creative process was livestreamed online and at the NFC Lisboa event.

How is your final artwork related to the prompt? -- Starting with an oil painting of a simple wave form, I made digital samples. Recombining these new digital elements I created a multi dimensional composition that mimics the lushness of old master paintings. I then animated the artwork to give it an extra fourth dimension--time. Creating beautiful and lush environments for humans to experience and appreciate elevates what it means to be human. For only humans use art to expand their ideas about existence.

Why did you choose this prompt? -- It went well with my process of combining traditional oil painting and digital artwork.

Explain more your creative process: -- My inspiration was in exploring the relationship between traditional and digital art forms.
