With this piece, I'm working with the themes of exploration and self-discovery. The figure holds a compass in one hand, symbolizing the traditions that guide us while also looking toward the light calling him, embodying the aspiration to follow a different path.
The wings and jet engine motifs in the joints symbolize power and human ingenuity. The exaggerated shoes, firmly planted, contrast with the ethereal clouds beneath the figure, presenting a dynamic interplay of groundedness and transcendence.
This duality reflects the challenges of walking a chosen path while searching for something beyond greater. It dares viewers to soar beyond their limitations.
