Creative Process: AI was not used to create this artwork. While exploring the theme of extinct civilizations, I discovered a photograph of a Mycenaean crater that deeply inspired several of my creations on the cycle of life. I started by sketching a stylized graphite drawing of the crater on paper, based on the photographed archaeological piece. After scanning this initial sketch to use as a base, I undertook the digital modeling of the crater. Once the virtual crater was created, I staged a scene that illustrates the contained water gently flowing. I then extracted an image of this composition, as if I had captured a photo of my digital sculpture. Next, I reworked this image using digital painting techniques. My equipment consists of 3D modeling software, photo editing software, a graphics tablet, and a stylus.
