Introducing
SkyBlue Poem Nft
Skyblue, why do you cry on me so true?
Your tears cascade like raindrops of glue,
Upon my earth, cold, indifferent, and rude,
Drenching my soil in your melancholy mood.
I'm sorry, I weep for you, For all the pain
and suffering you keep,
The horrors of war, where bloodshed runs deep,
The cries of the innocent, forever asleep.
What sorrow stirs those skybound cries of pain?
The blood of children, on battlefields lain
The screams of mothers, with no hope in sight
As war and darkness engulf all light?
My child, I weep for all humanity's blight,
The endless death that rages through the night.
Young lives cut short by brutality's bite,
Futures erased in war's endless fight.
I mourn each soul whose flame was snuffed outright,
Breaths stopped short, eyes closed from light.
Dreams undreamed, songs unsung aloud,
Lost potential lies buried 'neath bloodied ground.
I cry for the wounds that may never be bound,
The ravaged lands, once holy, now drowned.
The twisted hearts, in cruelty unbound,
The forgotten ones, pry to me unsound.
My tears cannot quench humanity's drought,
Cannot water the seeds peace has wrought,
Cannot wash clean what hatred has brought,
Cannot restore what by evil was bought.
So I cry rivers for the lives war has claimed,
The spirits it's maimed, the lights it's defamed.
I rain in despair, no respite in sight.
Oblivious earth, bearer of blight,
Now you taste my pain, rain from my light.
