As an art teacher from the sleepy southern town of Daegu, Korea, she spent nearly a decade of nights in quiet devotion to her craft, diligently blending molten beeswax and pigment onto wood, showing her creations to no one.
The result is a collection as unsettling as it is alluring. Inspired by the privacy of NFTs, “Room with a Rose” gets its namesake from the British novelist Virginia Woolf, who once implored women to find a “Room of One’s Own.” Now, armed with anonymity and emboldened by the animating power of MidJourney, “Klara of the Laughing Roses” beckons viewers to share a seat in own her secluded space, where the very essence of deeply personal dreams both realized and ongoing are unveiled.
