My Ghost-
When you try, and try, and cry, And still you fail, and wonder why, It's easy to feel frustration, And give up on your aspiration.
But then you hear a ghostly laugh, And feel like you're on a different path, A voice whispers through the wall, "Don't cry, just try again, that's all."
So you try and try for years, Through all the pain and all the tears, And every time you feel like quitting, Your ghostly friend keeps on insisting, "Don't cry, just try again, that's all."
And though it's hard to keep on going, You know that you're not alone in knowing, That sometimes it takes a little haunting, To keep you on the path you're wanting.
The formulas were changed each time, Approaches shifted, but still no climb, The frustration grew with every try, And giving up seemed nigh. But deep within the walls you hear, "Don't cry, just try again, that's all."
The agony of rejection and denial, Made the dreamer want to scream and trial, But then a whisper through the wall, A ghostly laugh, a voice's call.
"Don't cry, just try again, that's all," The ghostly friend said, standing tall, So the dreamer tried for years, Through all the pain and all the tears.
And every time they felt like quitting, The ghostly friend kept on insisting, Until one day, a plot twist came, And the ghostly friend revealed their name.
It was the dreamer all along, The ghostly friend, a voice so strong, Was just a part of them, a guiding light, To keep them going through the night.
And though the journey was long and hard, The dreamer never let down their guard, For they knew that with the ghostly friend, They could achieve their dream in the end
