Introducing
Mallorca Hyper Holidays is a series of digital collages made with selected elements from tourist postcards of Mallorca from the 60s and 70s.
Project curated by Casa Planas.
Casa Planas is a center for research and contemporary culture in Palma (Mallorca) that houses an important archive on tourism. It preserves a collection of more than 10,000 industrial production postcards produced by the company itself. This 100% analog file is a journey to the beginning of the tourist industry in the Balearic Islands and its promotion as a paradisiacal destination.
This graphic material helps me to create new images and animations in which I use this new NFT digital creation space as a meeting place with history and archives.
