The Torch of Wisdom
Like a flame passed hand to hand,
The light of truth burns bright through the ages.
From master to student the fire expands,
A spark of insight across decades rages.
Who first lit this fire none can truly tell,
But its warmth has led us through the dark night.
Each one adds their own spark to fuel the swell,
Keeping alight humanity's light away from hell.
So take the torch, let its flame guide your way,
Add your own light before you pass it along.
Though we walk separate, we stand side by side,
Together we shine, together we are strong.
The future's a mystery, the path unclear,
But the light will show the way if you lead.
Take the torch, pass it on without fear,
A legacy of hope is yours to create.

Michelangelo was taught by two main masters: Domenico Ghirlandaio and Bertoldo di Giovanni. Ghirlandaio was taught by Alesso Baldovinetti, who is believed to have been apprenticed to Domenico Veneziano and Andrea del Castagno. Castagno was taught by Gentile da Fabriano. And so on, the tree of knowledge branches out, its roots buried in the forgotten depths of history.
All these artists gained their talent and power(whatever you want to call it) by learning from those who came before them, and then applying their own hard work and dedication to achieve perfection in their masterpieces.
The question now is: who did they get their power from, lost in the mists of time? And who in the present day is worthy of your energy, so that you can pass on the torch?
