Dora

A deep silence covered the entire garden. The full silver moon generously casts its light on the roses. She walked slowly among them, holding his letter close to her heart, a letter that its every word was as soft as a rose petal.

She stopped and looked at the moon. She knew there was a distance between them as vast as the sky. She didn’t know if they would ever hold their small hands again. But even if she never saw him, her heart would always be warmed by his love.

Her eyes filled with tears, but they weren’t tears of sadness. A smile appeared on her lips. She felt alive because of knowing that someone, even far away, shared his heart with her.

The moon shone brightly above, as if it had heard her story and smiled. She continued on her way, feeling no sadness. She knew that true love didn’t need physical presence. Love lived in the heart.
