Dark Spirits

This artwork is the final submission from the artist Alessia H.V. for the 'Humanity' event by the Faerian gallery. The artist created this piece in 3 days, inspired by a prompt that was submitted by the public. In a unique twist, instead of being interpreted by an AI, this time the prompt was brought to life by a human artist. The entire creative process was livestreamed online and at the NFC Lisboa event.

How is your final artwork related to the prompt? -- I depicted a sort of shaman/sorceress that uses the magic of the night and bird skulls to evoke Guardian Spirits

Why did you choose this prompt? -- Because it's a subject I can relate to and it was easier to manage during my first online live session ever.

Explain more your creative process: -- I needed something that could hit the point without confusing me too much, I wanted to start and finish the painting during the live and I needed a straightforward choice since I'm not so used to take part in live events or something similar. I practically went thorugh part of the process as a mental preparation, so I've imagined a couple of subjects. leaving myself the freedom to go with the one that would've come more natural to me. My inspiration has Pagan roots, more than Fantasy itself, so spirit guides, magic, sorceress not overly adorned and the natural world are a pretty common subject in my artworks.
