The voices in our heads do not represent who we truly are
The inspiration for this work came from a video I watched about healing from overthinking. The video explained that the voices in our heads do not represent who we truly are; our brain is merely a receiver of those messages. The key is to remain aware and simply observe these voices without reacting to them, which naturally prevents us from being disturbed by them.
The intensity of overthinking is directly proportional to the intensity of desire. In my artwork, the apple symbolizes desire, and the two split faces represent the good and bad voices in our heads. Through this piece, I aim to convey the idea of observing and understanding our inner voices without being controlled by them.
